Alexis turned 1

Today was pretty amazing. Our little Alexis turned 1! It has been difficult and miraculous to think back to a year ago today. It is one day that I do not want to relive as I laid there wondering if I would ever bring my little girl home but I learned how to completely trust in the Lord. I will never forget the day that I got to hold her for the first time and the day she came off all her breathing machines, and the day we got to bring her home or the day Kylee said, "I love my little sister." We are so thankful for our little Alexis and again want to thank our family and friends for all of your help this past year. I know prayers really are answered. Enjoy our little video which is the beginning of Lexi's journey here on earth so far......(thanks Dad for the perfect song...I love you!) Thank you Alexis for all you have taught me and for being quite the fighter.

Although I have never met your little ones, tears came to my eyes when I watched this video. How amazing and how beautiful your little family is. Congratulations and give little Alexis a hug from us. Zoe is not far behind, she turns 1 in August--man time flys...

You and your family were so amazing and strong to watch through her birth and first few risky months. She is a doll and I think she is the perfect mix of you and your hubby!

Well talk about crying through a whole video. That was great and cool to see how far she has come and what a happy little cutie she has turned out to be. I can't even imagine what a tough time it was but way to have faith and pull through. Great job on the video!

Thank you for motivating me to get a blog for our family! It has definately been a lot of fun so far. That video was so amazing. I wish that we lived closer so that we could get to know both of your girls better, and Kylee and Alexis could help my boys stop thinking girls are a freak of nature! Ha! Love ya!

That was seriously so cute. I kept getting all teary eyed throughout the whole thing thinking about how hard that whole thing must have been for you guys and then in the picture of you and Sky with Alexis I got all sad again thinking, "hey, those are my friends who I haven't seen in a really long time!". (can you tell I'm about to have a baby?!) Anyway, I'm so glad she's doing so well!

It is 1:30 in the morning and I've been sitting here crying for the past 3 minutes and 15 seconds. I will have you (and Alexis!) to thank for my puffy face tomorrow morning. What a sweet little video. Oh man and the video clips of Kylee with her and especially the one when you guys are walking down the hallway and Kylee says she's coming home...Crap, I'm crying again.

That was an extremely well put together video. It is so comforting to know that the Lord knows what we can handle and the huge blessings that come from exercising our faith. Congrats to Alexis on turning one year old!
